In short

Who we are

The Invoice Box is made by Bolbots Solutions (Pty) Ltd (registration number 2026/586542/07), Midrand, Gauteng, South Africa. Contact: support@theinvoicebox.com.

What the app stores, and where

Everything you enter is kept in the app's storage on your device. It stays there until you delete it, clear the app's data or uninstall the app. Uninstalling removes it, so keep a backup.

A backup is a file the app makes when you ask for one. You choose where it goes — your device, Google Drive, an email to yourself, or anywhere else your phone offers. Once saved, that file is under your control and subject to the terms of wherever you keep it. We never receive it.

Documents you share (for example an invoice sent to a client) leave through the app you choose — email, WhatsApp, a printer. The app hands the file to that app; we do not see it.

Feedback

"Send feedback" in the app prepares an email in your own email app. You see what will be sent before you send it, and nothing is sent unless you send it. It contains:

It never includes your documents, clients, suppliers, amounts or settings. We receive it as an email from your address, use it to reply and to fix problems, and delete it when it is no longer needed for that. You can ask us to delete it at any time.

Permissions

The Android app asks for one permission: internet access, which the framework it is built on includes. The app sends none of your business data over it. The app does not use your location, contacts, microphone or camera directly; pictures you add are chosen by you through Android's own picker.

Analytics and advertising

None. The app and this website contain no analytics, advertising, tracking pixels or third-party scripts. This website sets no cookies.

This website

This website is a set of static pages. Like any website, the hosting provider that serves it may keep standard technical logs (such as IP address, time and the page requested) for security and reliability, under its own policies. We do not use those logs to identify visitors.

Google Play data safety

Your rights

Because your business data never reaches us, you control it directly on your device. You may also complain to the data protection authority where you live (in South Africa, the Information Regulator). [To confirm: the applicable law and authority.]

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date before it applies. Paid features, if added later, will be described here before they are offered.
